Healing

How do you care for a tattoo?

To protect your tattoo and make sure it heals properly, follow these simple rules:

  1. 1Within three hours of the end of the session, gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and a pH neutral liquid soap.
  2. 2Dry the area by patting it with a clean cloth or kitchen paper, without rubbing.
  3. 3Apply a thin layer of my dedicated tattoo cream over the whole tattooed surface.
  4. 4Cover the tattoo again with cling film.

Repeat this routine every 3 hours during the first day and keep the area covered through the first night as well.

From the second day onwards, follow this simple rule:

Gently wash the tattoo with pH neutral soap and lukewarm water, pat it dry and apply a thin layer of my dedicated cream. No cling film, just cleansing and moisturising.

For the following 7 days keep looking after the tattoo by applying my dedicated cream 2 or 3 times a day, so the skin stays properly moisturised and heals at its best.

What to avoid during the first month:

  • Swimming in pools or in the sea chlorine and salt can irritate freshly tattooed skin and slow the healing down, increasing the risk of infection or colour fading.
  • Direct sun exposure UV rays can compromise the skin regeneration process and alter the pigments, leaving the tattoo less bright and less defined.

You do not need to stay in the shade all the time, but it is important to protect the tattooed area by avoiding direct and prolonged exposure. In this delicate phase, care and prevention are what preserve the detail and the colours of your tattoo.

The cream

A GOOD HEALING NEEDS A GOOD PRODUCT

After getting tattooed it is essential to look after the skin with a product that naturally supports the regeneration process. Choose gentle formulas, free from harsh or industrial chemicals that could slow the healing down and compromise the quality of the tattoo.

That is why I created a dedicated cream, designed to respect the balance of the skin and support healing in the most effective way. Its light texture never feels greasy and never suffocates the skin, which helps preserve the integrity and the beauty of the tattoo over time.

Frequently asked

What people ask me most

How do I book a tattoo?

It starts with a free consultation. You message me on WhatsApp with your idea, we talk through subject, size and placement, then we set the date for the session. The consultation is also where we work out whether the idea sits well on the skin before any drawing begins.

How much does a tattoo cost?

The price comes down to three things: size, level of detail and the part of the body. A small traditional piece and a full Japanese sleeve are not comparable. That is why I publish no price list: I quote during the free consultation, once I have seen the idea, and that is what you pay.

Which tattoo styles do you work in?

Three styles: traditional old school, with thick lines and saturated colour; Japanese irezumi, with dragons, koi carp and cherry blossom; and Polynesian tribal, with geometric patterns and heavy black lines. I have drawn freehand since 2010, so every piece is built on the person wearing it.

How long does a tattoo take to heal?

The surface closes over the first 7 days, and that is the window where the cream goes on 2 or 3 times a day. For the first month avoid pools, the sea and direct sun, because chlorine, salt and UV slow the regeneration down and dull the colours. The skin is fully back to normal after about a month.

What is the minimum age for a tattoo in Italy?

From 18 you decide for yourself. Under 18 you need the consent of whoever holds parental responsibility, with identification and their presence at the studio, under the applicable regional rules. Always bring an identity document to the session.

Where is the studio?

I work in the Monza and Brianza area, always by appointment, Monday to Saturday. I give you the exact address for the session when we set the date.
